It's a matter of trust.
     How do I feel good about my choice? Am I sure that I'll receive quality care far away from home? It's a foreign country for heaven's sake. . . key word - foreign.
     At this point, I think I have narrowed the country down to Costa Rica. If for no other reason that travel costs, Costa Rica appears to be the most economical and saving money where I can is a priority.
Here's my beginning.
     I Google "medical tourism implants." There's over 364,000 hits. The first spot belongs to Patients Beyond Borders, similar to the Doctors Without Borders concept. It also contains the qualified "Affordable."  Not only does this site speak of dentistry, but it covers a variety of specialties: weight loss surgery, ophthalmology, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, spine surgery, orthopedics, fertility and reproductive health and oncology. It allows you to search your specific specialty and treatment, and identifying the location where you wish to travel.
    I check AARP, MedicalTourism.com, scour every periodical I can find for reviews and comments. At MedicalTourism.com, I find a comparable chart. I'm spot on about Costa Rica. It's the least expensive and its closest to home.
     I continue to see a repeat of this clinic: Meza Dental Care. It will be my first and last stop.
